You can use four step formulas to maintain the charm of your footwear - Clean, Condition, Polish, and Preserve. Always clean your footwear before you wear them, keep a check on its condition, polish them regularly & preserve them from water, mud and dust.

Following are some more "cool" tips you can use -

  • Always apply the matching color polish to your shoes
  • Liquid polishes are easiest to work with but they can dry out shoe leather and can cause cracking. So better option is to use cream polish.
  • Shoes with a nap, such as suede or nubuck, shouldn’t be polished.
  • Use solvent based suede cleaner to remove stains
  • Use toothbrush, mild soap and water to clean Sneakers made from canvas
  • If you are in bit hurry, remove excess dirt with a cloth and/or a brush and then apply the liquid shine evenly to your shoes.
  • To retain the shape of shoes, store them using a shoe tree. In case you don't have shoe tree, stuff the toe cap with newspaper or tissue.
  • Never store leather shoes near direct heat.
  • If your shoes get wet, allow them to dry completely before wearing them again.
  • Stuff your wet shoes with newspapers to help them hold their shape. Once your shoes have completely dried.
